Patricia Lynn Bridgeman

It is with extreme sadness that we announce the passing of Patricia Lynn Bridgeman, 71, on January 27, 2022 at New Brunswick, NJ.

 

She had fought a courageous battle with cancer for three years.

 

Pat was a longtime resident of Westfield, NJ. Arrangements for a Celebration of Pat's wonderful Life will be finalized at a later date in recognition of the current travel restrictions.

 

Pat was born in Toronto, on January 26, 1951. She attended Queen's University and graduated in 1973 with a Bachelor's Degree in Business. Pat taught high school business for many years. Pat married Bob Bridgeman in 1974. They were the love of each other's lives. Work took them to San Mateo, California where Pat became an accomplished needle pointer. Once they moved to Westfield, NJ, Pat ran her own business for many years, making custom ornaments and family plaques. She co-owned one of the largest craft Christmas markets in New Jersey, The Golden Goose. Pat loved people and life. She was an avid golfer and curler, was well as a Charter Member of the Senior Leaguers of Canada. She and Bob traveled extensively in North America, Europe and Africa. Pat loved cruises and her trips to Muskoka, LBI, Las Vegas, Palm Springs and Cape Coral. Family was the most important thing in Pat's life. She raised Scott and James, who were her pride and joy. Pat was eternally kind and loving.

 

Pat was predeceased by her mother, Shirley Hellier and her father, John Carlisle. Surviving relatives are her loved brothers John Carlisle and Christopher Carlisle, her loving husband Bob, her loving children Scott Bridgeman and James Bridgeman, her loving Daughter-In-Law Jennifer Bridgeman and her cherished granddaughter Addison Carlisle Bridgeman.

 

In lieu of flowers, Pat has requested that donations be made to The Center for Great Expectations, 19B Dellwood Lane, Somerset, NJ 08873.
